Q: How do I know if a class is an Online or TV course?
A: In the UVLink course registration area, the section number for online courses will begin with an X (i.e. X01) and for TV classes it will begin with a T (i.e. T01). When you perform a "Look-Up Classes to Add," select TV or Internet under the "Schedule

What Aviation Students Need to Know about their GE Online/TV Classes

Getting Started

  1. Go directly to http://online.uen.org and login using your UV ID and UVLink password to access your General Education Online/TV classes.
  2. General Education classes must be accessed during the first week of the new semester.
  3. Most General Education classes will have assignment/exam deadlines throughout the semester; especially English and Math classes.
  4. General Education Online/TV classes can still be accessed without full tuition payments.

Exam Proctoring

  1. Students not living in Utah County, may need to set up an Exam Proctor.
  2. A proctor is someone who will administer the exam(s) in a proper testing environment.
  3. Exam proctoring policies and procedures are found at http://www.uvsc.edu/disted/student_support/proctor.php. Included on this page are online forms that will need to be completed by both the proctor and student.
  4. Please read all the instructions thoroughly.
  5. Students must request exams for their courses at least 2 weeks prior to the first exam deadline.

TV Course DVD Rental

  1. The lecture content for broadcast courses can be either rented on DVD for a cost of $60 through the Distance Education Service Center, or downloaded as a Podcast at http://www.uvsc.edu/disted/videos/index.php.
  2. The DVD's may be shipped to you using the video rental form found at http://www.uvsc.edu/disted/student_support/docs/video_rental.pdf.
  3. All DVD sets MUST be returned at the end of each semester.
